My name is Alisha Folk DeCou and I own and run Serenity in Chaos Education Center.

I would be honored to be part of your family’s educational journey! 

Serenity in Chaos is SUCH fitting name! Learning is so often chaotic, but once we get the hang of it and learn to love it, we truly can see the serenity in it! It’s also the feeling I have when I am surrounded by these inspiring and amazing tiny and not so-tiny  humans! 

Let me tell you a little about me.  I have over 20 years of experience working with children.  I am  a former Pre-Kindergarten teacher, special education assistant / admin as well as homeschool mom.  I am a former RBT (registered behavior therapist) and worked extensively with children with autism.  AND I am almost done with dual degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education

I also have my own photography business specializing in concert, event and wedding photography.  I just got married this summer, to the love of my life, Cody,  AND we have seven children of our own!  Our daughters; Zana (11), Aurora (9) and Ayla (7) attend our center! :) We have two adult children (22 and 21), one attending public middle school (14) and a junior  (16)  at ASU Prep as well!  We have two dogs and two cats and our classroom bearded dragon.   I LOVE live music, photography (obviously), everything outdoors, bats, OWLS,  Buffy the Vampire Slayer and am a HUGE DC comics nerd as well!
