My name is Alisha Folk DeCou and I own and run Serenity in Chaos Education Center.

I would be honored to be part of your family’s educational journey! 

Serenity in Chaos is SUCH fitting name! Learning is so often chaotic, but once we get the hang of it and learn to love it, we truly can see the serenity in it! It’s also the feeling I have when I am surrounded by these inspiring and amazing tiny and not so-tiny  humans! 

Let me tell you a little about me.  I have over 20 years of experience working with children.  I am  a former Pre-Kindergarten teacher, special education teacher and admin as well as homeschool mom.  I have also been a RBT (registered behavior therapist) and worked extensively with children with autism.  I have both my Masters and Bachelor's in Special Education and Elementary Education.  

I also run my own photography business specializing in concert, event and wedding photography.  I am married to the love of my life, Cody,  AND we have eight amazing children of our own!  Our daughters; Zana (13), Aurora (10) and Ayla (9) attend our center! :) We have two adult children (24 and 22), our daughter (18) graduating ASU Prep this year and our son is a freshmen at San Tan Foothills and is 15.    We have two dogs and a cat and our classroom bearded dragon.   I LOVE live music, photography (obviously), everything outdoors, bats, OWLS,  Buffy the Vampire Slayer and am a HUGE DC comics nerd as well!
